Maar ook in eigen land, wat heet, in de eigen achtertuin zijn routes, hidden gems en tips beschikbaar voor iedere enthousiaste fietser in Nederland of daarbuiten. Want wat jij als een &#8216;standaard rondje&#8217; ervaart, is voor iemand anders een nieuwe ontdekking. Explorer Erwin, van de Mountain High Chasers, ging fietsen over de Utrechtse Heuvelrug en geeft zijn favoriete tips. Check zijn fietsroute over de Utrechtse Heuvelrug en ga op avontuur!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Tekst en foto&#8217;s Erwin \/\/ Mountain High Chasers<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Backyard playgrond: fietsen over de Utrechtse Heuvelrug<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fietsen in mijn \u2018achtertuin\u2019 staat voor variatie. Talloze korte klimmetjes met de Amerongse Berg als aanvoerder. Spelen met de wind op de Lekdijk langs de Nederrijn. De luwte van het bos opzoeken om diezelfde wind te elimineren. Het boerengebied \u2018boven\u2019 de Heuvelrug met tal van rustige wegen. De Defensieweg (!) is voor mij de mooiste weg hier, een strook asfalt zonder auto\u2019s dwars door het bos, slingerend en glooiend. Smullen. Absurd veel meer asfalt is te vinden op Vliegbasis Soesterberg. Waar je fietst over een voormalig start- en landingsbaan voor straaljagers. De verbazing op de gezichten van nieuwkomers went nooit.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"11585\" src=\"https:\/\/cyclingdestination.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/20221105_100445-1024x768.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11585\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"11584\" src=\"https:\/\/cyclingdestination.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/20221024_075318-1024x768.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11584\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"11587\" src=\"https:\/\/cyclingdestination.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/20230311_134216-1024x768.webp\" alt=\"fietsen over de heuvelrug, defensieweg, heuvelrug fietsen, fiets\" class=\"wp-image-11587\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Heen en weer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Om dit alles zo mooi mogelijk aan elkaar te lussen, gecombineerd met een afkeer tegen verkeerslichten, is mijn favoriete rondje een creatieve. Waarbij ik een esthetisch regeltje overtreed; heen en weer over dezelfde weg. Pak de route bij droog weer. Als ik echt moet kiezen kies ik voor het voorjaar, met de bloesem in de fruitbomen. De start- en landingsbaan is tijdens de zomer exclusief voor de Veldleeuwerik en daarmee gesloten voor ons fietsers. Dit heeft geen invloed op de route, omdat de oversteek altijd toegankelijk is.
