Im Juni ist die Stadt der Ausgangspunkt f\u00fcr die <a href=\"https:\/\/cutt.ly\/lwu37PxK\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Natur ist Fahrrad Festival<\/a>. Ein j\u00e4hrliches Schotter- und Abenteuerfestival etwa 300 Kilometer s\u00fcdwestlich von Paris. In der h\u00fcgeligen und gr\u00fcnen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.enpaysdelaloire.com\/velo-tourisme\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">Pays de la Loire<\/a> Es ist eine lebendige Mischung aus Schotter, Gastronomie und anspruchsvollen Rennen und Tourenrouten. Hier versammeln sich Agenturen der Region, Fahrradmarken, Verk\u00e4ufer, Marken und Gastronomiebetriebe in einer lebendigen Mischung. Und das Dorf dient als Start- und Zielort f\u00fcr die verschiedenen Touren und Rennen. Eine Schotterfahrt von den legend\u00e4ren Str\u00e4nden von Arromanches-les-Bains in der Normandie nach Angers, der Schotterhauptstadt Frankreichs. Eine 320 km lange, 2500 hm lange, selbsttragende Ultra-Schotterfahrt, die in 21 Stunden zu bew\u00e4ltigen ist. Was f\u00fcr eine Fahrt. 320 km sind nicht nichts. Die Fahrt beginnt am Goldstrand, dem Landeplatz der kanadischen Truppen w\u00e4hrend des D-Day am 5. Juni 1945. Die so genannte \"H-Stunde\" fand nun 78 Jahre und 11 Tage sp\u00e4ter statt. Um 6.00 Uhr f\u00e4llt der Startschuss f\u00fcr die 500 Teilnehmer, die am sp\u00e4ten Samstagmorgen im Festivaldorf am Lac de Maine antreten.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Zur\u00fcck zum Anfang<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>W\u00e4hrend die Teilnehmer des Graval of Legend eine harte Fahrt vor sich haben, beginnt unsere Reise am Freitagnachmittag extrem ruhig und leicht. Mit einer Geschwindigkeit von 300 km\/h sausen wir durch die <a href=\"https:\/\/cutt.ly\/Wwu8q1G6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Thalys<\/a> (ab n\u00e4chstem Jahr den Eurostar) von Amsterdam nach Paris, wo wir in den TGV nach Angers umstiegen. Eine bequeme und entspannte Reise. Nach einem herzlichen Empfang durch Olivier, den \u00f6rtlichen \"Chef de partie\", bezogen wir unsere angenehme Unterkunft direkt im Zentrum von Angers. Es entspringt dem echten Wunsch, sich wieder mit der Natur zu verbinden. Graveling in Angers ist die Liebe zum Abenteuer und zur Natur. Die Atmosph\u00e4re im Dorf ist entsprechend. Die Menschen sind gesellig, hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wenn ein Satz Pedale fehlt, sind die Leute sofort zur Stelle, um einem zu helfen. So f\u00fchlt man sich willkommen und es entsteht sofort eine Bindung. Wer glaubt, das Nature is Bike Festival habe nur extreme Schotterfahrten zu bieten, der irrt. Am Samstag handelt es sich um eine 40 km lange Strecke mit einer Mischung aus geselligen Zwischenstopps, bei denen man lokal produzierte Speisen und Getr\u00e4nke bekommt. Und am Sonntag ein 200-km-Schotterrennen mit Zeitmessung und Wertung, verbunden mit Abschnitten ohne Zeitmessung. F\u00fcr die Teilnehmer stehen am Sonntag auch die Varianten 50 km und 100 km Schotterrennen auf dem Programm. Dar\u00fcber hinaus gibt es auch Entdeckungsstrecken von 19, 26 oder 33 km durch das Herz des Loire-Tals. Besonderes Augenmerk gilt der Bikepack-Variante des Schotterrennens der Legenden, mit gleichzeitigen Starts von Gold Beach mit den Teilnehmern des Schotterrennens der Legenden. Eine nette Mischung aus gro\u00dfen Marken wie DT Swiss, BMC und Cannondale, lokalen Unternehmern und Vertretern der vielen (zu radelnden) Regionen Frankreichs machte es zu einer lebendigen Veranstaltung. Hier war f\u00fcr jeden etwas dabei. Eine rasante Tour mit der abwechslungsreichen Landschaft des Pays de la Loire als Kulisse. Dabei werden wir von lokalen franz\u00f6sischen Bieren, Live-Musik und Aufstrichen zu frischem Wein, noch mehr Live-Musik und k\u00f6stlich frischen franz\u00f6sischen Sandwiches gef\u00fchrt. Eine kurze, aber abwechslungsreiche Strecke, auf der die gesellige Atmosph\u00e4re, unterst\u00fctzt durch IPAs und reichlich eingeschenkte Weine, uns nach drei Stunden Radeln und Lachen zur\u00fcck ins Dorf bringt. Das fr\u00fche Aufstehen wird jedoch mit einem wundersch\u00f6nen Sonnenaufgang und einem besonderen gemeinsamen Start mit den 300 Teilnehmern belohnt. Die ersten 45 km f\u00fchren uns \u00fcber eine Mischung aus einer technischen Strecke durch den Wald und h\u00fcgeligen Schotterwegen vorbei an Weinbergen. Eine dr\u00fcckende Hitze, die schon am Vortag einige Tropfen auf die Reifen und die IPA-Bauern gegossen hat, droht nun richtig auszubrechen. Nach 75 km erreichen wir die erste Verpflegungsstation am imposanten Chateau de Brissac. Dort erfahren wir, dass wir zehn Minuten \u00fcber dem letzten Zeitfenster gefahren sind. Nach kurzer \u00dcberlegung und einem Blick auf das Schauerradar entschieden wir uns, uns der 100-km-Version der Tour anzuschlie\u00dfen. Und die letzten 25 km mit einer gem\u00fctlichen Mischung von Teilnehmern der 100-km-Tour zu fahren. Durch die Ufer der Loire und dichte W\u00e4lder fuhren wir auf Schotter zur\u00fcck nach Angers. Um in dem Dorf am Maine-See zu enden.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kluger Schachzug<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Kurz nach dem Einlaufen stellt sich heraus, dass das eine weise Entscheidung war. Kurz nach unserem Ziel verwandelt sich die drohende Wolke in ein echtes Gewitter, das erst um 20 Uhr abzieht. Nach dem Schauer lassen wir uns auf dem zentral gelegenen Platz Place du Ralliement zu einem Abschlussessen mit den unterwegs gewonnenen Freunden nieder. Die die Heldenreise durch den Regen wie keine andere ausgehalten hatten. Das Treffen und das gesellige Abendessen waren beispielhaft f\u00fcr das Festival. Ein Ort, an dem man Menschen mit gemeinsamen Interessen und entnervtem Geist findet, die sich \u00fcber weitere 200 km schottische Verlassenheit par excellence freuen.
