Das Gebiet liegt zwischen den St\u00e4dten Ottawa, Montreal und Kingston, und auf der S\u00fcdseite geh\u00f6rt auch ein Teil der USA zu dieser Region. Die nat\u00fcrliche Begrenzung durch das Wasser sorgt daf\u00fcr, dass die \"Zersiedelung\", die in vielen anderen nordamerikanischen St\u00e4dten zu beobachten ist, hier nicht vorkommt. Hier ist Platz f\u00fcr die Natur, und das merkt man in allem. In der Region dreht sich nat\u00fcrlich alles um das Wasser. Jeder m\u00f6chte in der N\u00e4he des Wassers sein, und so gibt es Raum f\u00fcr sch\u00f6ne Wanderwege.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Auch die Geschichte ist reichlich vorhanden, auch wenn sie f\u00fcr den Durchschnittseurop\u00e4er \"nur ein paar Jahrhunderte alt\" ist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/cyclingdestination.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/image-1024x576.webp\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"1688\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/cyclingdestination.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/image.webp\" data-link=\"https:\/\/cyclingdestination.cc\/?attachment_id=1688\" class=\"wp-image-1688\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cyclingdestination.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/image-1024x576.webp 1024w, https:\/\/cyclingdestination.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/image-300x169.webp 300w, https:\/\/cyclingdestination.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/image-768x432.webp 768w, https:\/\/cyclingdestination.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/image.webp 1245w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1000 Inseln Parkway<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Wenn Sie in dieser Region Rad fahren, m\u00fcssen Sie diese Route unbedingt abhaken. Der Parkway ist etwa 45 Kilometer lang und verl\u00e4uft komplett entlang des 1000 Island Waterway (bei den Namen waren sie nicht sehr einfallsreich). Man hat herrliche Aussichten und entlang der Strecke gibt es mehrere Haltestellen, an denen man eine Weile verweilen und sogar \u00fcbernachten kann. Wenn Sie ein Abenteuer daraus machen wollen. Die Strecke selbst ist leicht h\u00fcgelig, aber Sie werden in dieser Region nicht h\u00f6her als 200 Meter steigen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Machen Sie auch einen Halt am Brown's Bay Beach. Dort gibt es Picknicktische, man kann sogar duschen und hat einen sch\u00f6nen Blick auf das Wasser. Dieser Parkway ist Teil eines gr\u00f6\u00dferen Netzwerks, auch genannt <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.waterfronttrail.org\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"www.waterfronttrail.org\" target=\"_blank\">Der Waterfront Trail<\/a> erw\u00e4hnt. Wenn Sie dem gesamten Weg folgen, fahren Sie Hunderte von Kilometern am Wasser entlang und gelangen so von Ost- nach Westontario (oder umgekehrt). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Schotterparadies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Apropos sch\u00f6ne Wanderwege. Nat\u00fcrlich gibt es asphaltierte Stra\u00dfen, und man kann sich auf den verschiedenen Routen rund um das Wasser und entlang der Kais v\u00f6llig verlieren, aber das hier ist ein wahres Schotterparadies. Weil alle am Wasser wohnen wollen, wurde ein kompliziertes Netz von Zufahrtsstra\u00dfen (von der Hauptstra\u00dfe aus) zu den Wohnorten angelegt. Diese Stra\u00dfen sind nat\u00fcrlich nicht asphaltiert, so dass Sie nach Herzenslust schottern k\u00f6nnen, bis hinunter zum Wasser! Sie k\u00f6nnen auch den Weg von Morrisburg nach Cornwall oder den Long Sault Parkway befahren. Letzterer ist landschaftlich sehr reizvoll. Man f\u00e4hrt \u00fcber mehrere Inseln und Br\u00fccken und ist st\u00e4ndig von Wasser umgeben. Der erste Weg f\u00fchrt ebenfalls am Wasser entlang und man kommt an mehreren H\u00e4fen und Haltepunkten vorbei.
