Das \"Glanzst\u00fcck\" der niederl\u00e4ndischen Wasserwirtschaft. Mit dem Bau dieses imposanten Systems wurde nach der Flutkatastrophe von 1953 begonnen. Neeltje Jans ist der Name, den jeder in der Grundschule gelernt hat. Zumindest nehme ich das an. Die Oosterscheldekering ist eine beeindruckende Anlage, die insgesamt fast 10 Kilometer lang ist. In der Mitte befindet sich Neeltje Jans. Der Oosterscheldekering ist jedes Jahr die Kulisse f\u00fcr das NK-Gegenwind-Radrennen. So k\u00f6nnen Sie sich ein Bild von den Bedingungen hier machen. Auf der Nordseite der Barriere befindet sich das malerische Burgh-Haamstede. Dort waren wir f\u00fcr unsere Serie 12 Monate - 12 Provinzen - 12 Parks in Zusammenarbeit mit Landal GreenParks. Wenn Sie in Zeeland Rad fahren, werden Sie mit dem Wind zu k\u00e4mpfen haben. An einem Tag weht er ein wenig, am n\u00e4chsten Tag mehr. Schlie\u00dflich befindet man sich an der K\u00fcste, so dass es nie ganz windstill sein wird. An unserem ersten Tag wagen wir gleich den Sprung und \u00fcberqueren das Sturmflutwehr der Oosterschelde. Es ist ein gewaltiger Anblick und eine sch\u00f6ne Strecke zum Radfahren. Man hat einen breiten Weg, es gibt viel anderen Radverkehr, aber vor allem in den fr\u00fchen Morgenstunden, wenn die Sonne aufgeht, ist es ein einzigartiger Anblick. Wir fahren in Richtung Noord-Beveland, auf der anderen Seite der Oosterschelde. Von dort aus machen wir eine sch\u00f6ne Runde um die Schelde. Ein St\u00fcck am Wasser entlang, dann zur\u00fcck in die Felder. Als Fahrradbr\u00fccke ist die Zeelandbrug weniger einladend. Am Rande der Br\u00fccke verl\u00e4uft ein schmaler Zwei-Wege-Radweg. Jedes Mal, wenn ich diese \u00fcberquere, denke ich wieder: Es muss nur etwas passieren, und ich habe kostenlosen Schwimmunterricht. Man f\u00e4hrt hier kilometerlang mit Wasser nur auf beiden Seiten. In der Ferne kann man den Turm von Zierikzee sehen. Ein h\u00fcbsches St\u00e4dtchen mit einem typischen alten Hafen und dito H\u00e4usern. Ein sch\u00f6ner Zwischenstopp auf einer l\u00e4ngeren Fahrt. Dann geht es zur\u00fcck \u00fcber den Deich nach Burgh-Haamstede. Zusammen mit Noord-Beveland, Walcheren, Zuid-Beveland, Tholen und Zeeuws-Vlaanderen bildet sie die Provinz Zeeland. Auf der Insel Schouwen-Duiveland befinden sich neben Zierikzee auch die beliebten Badeorte Renesse und Brouwershaven. Dazwischen liegt eine weite Landschaft mit Ackerland, Naturschutzgebieten und gelegentlich einem Dorf. Bei Namen wie Scharendijke, Kerkwerve und Dreischor frage ich mich immer, woher sie kommen. Jedenfalls scheinen die Namen in Zeeland immer auf ein 'e' zu enden. Es hei\u00dft nicht 'kerk', sondern 'kerke'. Nicht Scharendijk, sondern Scharendijke. Genauso wie es nicht Ijzendijk, sondern 'iezendieke' hei\u00dft. Hier erschlie\u00dfen wir das Feriendorf Ouddorp und kehren dann durch die D\u00fcnenlandschaft zur\u00fcck. Eine landschaftlich reizvolle Strecke von fast 55 Kilometern f\u00fchrt uns zu den H\u00f6hepunkten zweier Provinzen. Auf dem Grevelingendam wird viel Kitesurfen betrieben. Auch hier muss man also mit Wind rechnen. Der Radweg hingegen ist sehr schmal. Sie fahren dann \u00fcber Veere und folgen buchst\u00e4blich dem Verlauf des Sees. Dabei passieren Sie auch das Flutdenkmal 'Wellen, Deich und Hand'. Immer wieder beeindruckend und gut, sich daran zu erinnern, dass hier im Februar 1953 fast 2.000 Menschen durch die Fluten ihr Leben verloren. Anschlie\u00dfend biegen Sie an der Sandschleuse wieder in Richtung Noord-Beveland ab und k\u00f6nnen entweder \u00fcber diese Insel zur\u00fcck nach Neeltje Jans fahren oder die Zeelandbr\u00fccke nehmen. Kurze Runden von 30 km, aber auch einige l\u00e4ngere. Wir waren schon einmal in der Gegend, und auch damals konnten wir die sch\u00f6ne Landschaft Zeelands genie\u00dfen. Wenn man lange Tage mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs ist, kann man Touren von \u00fcber 100 Kilometern machen und trotzdem jedes Mal neue Orte entdecken. Also viel Spa\u00df. Ich war mit meiner Familie unterwegs, und auch gemeinsam kann man eine Fahrradtour genie\u00dfen. Es gibt mehrere Fahrradverleihm\u00f6glichkeiten, auch im Park selbst. Wir haben ein Lastenrad gemietet und sind damit zum Strand und in die umliegenden D\u00f6rfer gefahren. Auf diese Weise kann man die Umgebung wirklich auf eine zug\u00e4ngliche Weise entdecken. Cool!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Unterkunft<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Wir wohnen in einer sehr ger\u00e4umigen 6-Bett-Villa in <a href=\"https:\/\/cutt.ly\/uex0lc5U\">Landal Resort Haamstede<\/a>. Er ist Teil eines Trios von Landal Parks, die gemeinsam eine Reihe von Einrichtungen nutzen. Nat\u00fcrlich gibt es einen Br\u00f6tchenservice, eine Catering-Einrichtung und ein Restaurant. In der Gastronomie finden Sie auch einen Indoor-Spielplatz, eine Bowlingbahn und eine Minigolfanlage. Die drei letztgenannten Angebote sind geb\u00fchrenpflichtig. Sie k\u00f6nnen hier auch Tennis oder Padel spielen. Inzwischen haben wir in mehreren 6-Personen-Unterk\u00fcnften \u00fcbernachten k\u00f6nnen und dieses nimmt die Krone. Es gibt einen internen Abstellraum (wo Sie leicht 4-5 Fahrr\u00e4der speichern k\u00f6nnen), der Wohnbereich ist gro\u00df, mit einem sch\u00f6nen Sofa und einem guten langen Tisch. Im Obergeschoss finden Sie drei gro\u00dfe Schlafzimmer und zwei B\u00e4der. Luxus pur, mit anderen Worten. Ein Sitzbereich im Freien rundet das Ganze ab.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tipps aus der Umgebung:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In Burgh-Haamstede (eigentlich sind es zwei D\u00f6rfer) gibt es ein leckeres Pfannkuchenrestaurant. <a href=\"https:\/\/pannekoekenmolen.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pfannkuchenm\u00fchle der Grainhalm<\/a> wird er genannt. Billig, schnell und gute Qualit\u00e4t. Sie haben nur eine Spezialit\u00e4t aber: Pfannkuchen, wenn Sie nicht wie diese, es ist nichts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/hotelbijdebakker.nl\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">B\u00e4cker Sonnemans<\/a>&nbsp;Im Dorf gibt es noch einen anderen Betrieb, der Bolus nach Gro\u00dfmutters Art herstellt. Sehr zu empfehlen, denn Zeeland ohne Bolus ist nicht Zeeland.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Die Eisdiele im Dorf ist etwas Besonderes. Eine 'Ein-Mann-Show', aber eine, die schnell Eis, Softeis, Smoothies, Kaffee und was wei\u00df ich noch alles herstellt. K\u00f6stlich nach einer langen Sommerfahrt.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wenn Sie die Schranke bei Neetlje Jans \u00fcberqueren, k\u00f6nnen Sie in Oostkapelle an der Haltestelle <a href=\"https:\/\/hetkaslokaal.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kassenraum<\/a>. Leckere B\u00e4ckerei, super leckerer Kaffee und wenn man sich dort mit seiner Familie trifft, kann man sich \u00fcber lange Fahrten oder Auszeiten nirgendwo beschweren.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>M\u00f6chten Sie ein Fahrrad mieten? Das k\u00f6nnen Sie direkt im Park, wo Kinderfahrr\u00e4der, Citybikes und E-Bikes zum Verleih bereitstehen. Suchen Sie ein sportliches Fahrrad oder ein Lastenrad? Dann gehen Sie zu <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jandejongefietsen.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fahrradtotal Jan de Jonghe<\/a>. Die vermietet alles M\u00f6gliche. Denken Sie daran, dass Sie in Zeeland sind, also ist die H\u00fctte sonntags geschlossen.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wollen Sie einen Tag am Strand verbringen? Dann entscheiden Sie sich f\u00fcr den Strand von Westenschouwen. Der Strandclub Sand and Pepper ist wirklich hervorragend (sowohl was das Essen als auch den Service betrifft) und der Strand mit Blick auf das Sperrwerk ist beeindruckend. Wenn Sie zu Mittag essen m\u00f6chten <a href=\"https:\/\/sandandpepper.nl\/\">Sand und Pfeffer<\/a>, dann ist eine Reservierung empfehlenswert.
