{"id":27761,"date":"2026-09-25T10:33:20","date_gmt":"2026-09-25T10:33:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nieuw.cyclingdestination.cc\/?post_type=bestemming&#038;p=27761"},"modified":"2026-09-28T07:05:40","modified_gmt":"2026-09-28T07:05:40","slug":"drenthe","status":"publish","type":"bestemming","link":"https:\/\/cyclingdestination.cc\/en\/bestemmingen\/nederland\/drenthe","title":{"rendered":"Drenthe"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fietsen in Drenthe: gravelwalhalla met d\u00e9 fietsklim van het Noorden<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Drenthe is d\u00e9 fietsprovincie van Nederland<\/li>\n\n\n<li>VAM-berg, hunebedden en nationale parken<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Gravelroutes om van te smullen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Natuurpark Dwingelderverld<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Natuurpark Drents-Friese Wold<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Natuurpark Drentsche AA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Drenthe: een van de kleinste provincies in Nederland, maar wel d\u00e9 fietsprovincie van de lage landen. Tenminste, dat vind Drenthe zelf. Ze hebben met recht ook reden tot trots. Want niet alleen vind je hier de bijzondere kunstmatige klim VAM-berg, aangelegd op een afvalberg, maar ook het Dak van Drenthe, die er later bij is ontwikkeld. Met 6300cm boven NAP is dit d\u00e9 klim van Noord-Nederland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maar er is meer dan alleen de VAM-berg. Je hebt de vele nationale parken, dat zijn er (minstens) drie en dan tellen we Fochtelo\u00ebrveen niet mee. Je hebt de historie met de hunebedden, er is in Norg en omgeving een goede wielercultuur, mede door de events Slag om Norg en Veldslag om Norg. Dan is er ook de Bartje 200 en de Drenthe 200 en je snapt dat Drenthe graag boogt op haar fietscultuur. De Drentsche fietsvierdaagse is al decennia een begrip, maar dan voor toerfietsers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Drenthe mag er zijn en hoewel ze dat niet hard zullen roepen, doen wij dat voor ze. Het is een paradijs voor fietsers die rust, ruimte en prachtige natuur zoeken. Voor de meeste randstedelingen is het wel een brug verder dan ze gewend zijn. Maar met een van de vele accomodaties in de buurt is een nachtje overblijven geen probleem (en geen overbodige luxe).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zoals gezegd is Drenthe d\u00e9 fietsbestemming van Noord-Nederland. Als er een ding duidelijk is, dan is het wel dat je hier heerlijk kunt gravellen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Je kunt het hele jaar fietsen in Drenthe, maar de beste tijd is toch wel in het voorjaar, de zomer en het vroege najaar. Nu is de winter ook geen probleem, als je van modderfietsen houdt, maar de gemiddelde toerist zoekt toch iets meer comfort en minder schoonmaak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mocht je langer dan een dag in Drenthe blijven (met name voor de niet-Nederlandse lezers\/fietsers), dan zijn er legio fietsvriendelijke accomodaties waar je je helemaal thuis voelt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wij zijn zelf vaak bij Landal Orveltermarke en Landal Hunerwoldstate geweest. Beide parken liggen perfect voor een fietsavontuur. WIl je enkel een nachtje slapen?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hotel onder de Linden<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Hotel de Stobbe<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Van Der Valk Spier<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Landgoed t Wildryck<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Boutique Hotel Het Witte Veen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">tips voor fietsen in DRENTHE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rondje Drenthe op de racefiets of gravelbike<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Je bent tegenwoordig niet in Drenthe geweest als je de VAM-berg of het aanpalende Dak van Drenthe niet hebt beklommen. Op de racefiets is de VAM-berg onmisbaar: drie klimroutes, \u00e9\u00e9n afdaling, gemiddeld 10% en zelfs een kasseienstrook perfect voor klimblokjes. Combineer dit met de rustige, glooiende wegen rond Gieten\/Gieterveen; de Randje Drenthe Route van 64 km tikt alle highlights in de Hondsrugstreek aan. Die vind je in onze database.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Als je een ding goed kunt doen, dan is het gravellen in Drenthe. Midden Drenthe is misschien wel het meest geschikt hiervoor. Er is zoveel gravelfun, dat je hier dagen zoet kunt zijn. Vanuit Orvelte is de regio rond Schoonloo fantastisch, Norg is in het Noorden een perfecte uitvalsplek en vanuit Dwingeloo pak je alles aan de westkant mee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MTB\u2019en kan op alle offici\u00eble parcoursen: Assen (Baggelhuizen), Emmen, Emmen (Noordbargerbos), Exloo, Gieten-Gasselte, Grolloo, Sleen, Dwingeloo, Ruinen, Diever-Hoogersmilde, Havelte Oost, Havelte West, Kniphorstbosch (Zuidlaren), Zuidwolde Oost, Zuidwolde West, Drentsche Aa (Anloo), plus de vier verbindingslussen \u201cRondom Dwingeloo\u201d (Noord\/West\/Zuid\/Oost) en de korte Bosberg-lus bij Appelscha. Dat zijn er te veel om op te noemen. En je kunt ze rijden zonder vignet<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Volgens Drenthe zelf<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Drenthe noemt zichzelf niet voor niets d\u00e9 fietsprovincie van Nederland: er ligt ruim 1.200 kilometer aan fietspaden, en met het knooppuntennetwerk stel je zelf je route samen. Een paar tips van <a href=\"https:\/\/www.drenthe.nl\/fietsen-wandelen\/fietsen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">drenthe.nl<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>De Van Gogh Fietsroutes<\/strong>: drie routes langs de plekken in Drenthe die Vincent van Gogh inspireerden, met doorkijkpanelen en luisterverhalen. Ze werden verkozen tot Fietsroutes van het Jaar 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Routes met een verhaal<\/strong>: langs het grootste hunebed van Nederland of de Koloni\u00ebn van Weldadigheid.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>De Drentse Fiets4Daagse<\/strong>: al meer dan zestig jaar, in juli, vier dagen toeren door de dorpen en de natuur.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>De VAM-berg<\/strong>: drie klimroutes, \u00e9\u00e9n afdaling en een eigen MTB-parcours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Onze routes in Drenthe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"\/en\/routes\/col-du-vam-from-the-neighborhood\/\">Col du VAM from De Wijk<\/a>: naar de enige echte berg van Drenthe.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><a href=\"\/en\/routes\/gravelroute-door-schoonloo\/\">Gravelroute door Schoonloo<\/a> en <a href=\"\/en\/routes\/graveldag-2-vanuit-landal-orveltermarke\/\">Graveldag 2<\/a>: twee gravelrondes vanuit Landal Orveltermarke.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><a href=\"\/en\/routes\/gravel-route-fochteloerveen-vanuit-landal-hunerwoldstate\/\">Gravel door het Fochtelo\u00ebrveen<\/a>: vanuit Landal Hunerwoldstate, op de grens met Friesland.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Travel tips<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beste Reistijd: Vermijd de zomermaanden wanneer je je niet middenin het toeristische seizoen wilt begeven. Het voor- en najaar is een stuk aantrekkelijker voor fietsers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Verkeersinformatie: De wegen kunnen in het hoogseizoen (zomer) druk zijn. Zeker bij evenementen zoals de fietsvierdaagse en op hete zomerdagen moet je goed nadenken waar je gaat fietsen. Vermijdt dan de nationale parken rond het middaguur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bikepacking overnighters: Denk eens aan een bikepacking overnighter.
