In the centre lies the Veluwe, the country\u2019s largest contiguous nature reserve. To the south are the hills around Nijmegen, to the east the Achterhoek, and in between, the dykes along the major rivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why cycle in Gelderland?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Veluwezoom, featuring the Posbank, the most famous climb in the eastern Netherlands.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>The Crown Estate and the Hoge Veluwe: woodland and heathland, and plenty of gravel.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>The Nijmegen Region: the Zevenheuvelenweg, Groesbeek and the Duivelsberg.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>The Achterhoek: a landscape of hedgerows and sandy tracks, perfect for a gravel cycling weekend.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>The River Region: small dykes along the Waal, the Linge and the Lower Rhine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When are you leaving?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From March to October.
