After Shimano already announced a recall in America and Canada last week, the announcement for other parts of the world, including the Benelux, now follows. Only in case of defect will the crankset be replaced. This is therefore also not an exchange but a voluntary inspection. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Does my crankset need to be checked?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To find out if your crankset needs to be checked, Shimano has outlined a roadmap. In brief, it is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Check the model number.  You do this on the crank, as below in the picture<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Does your model number fall within the previously mentioned numbers? <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If yes, check the production code. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The following production codes are from before 1 July 2019: KF, KG, KH, KI, KJ, KK, KL, LA, LB, LC, LD, LE, LF, LG, LH, LI, LJ, LK, LL, MA, MB, MC, MD, ME, MF, MG, MH, MI, MJ, MK, ML, NA, NB, NC, ND, NE, NF, NG, NH, NI, NJ, NK, NL, OA, OB, OC, OD, OE, OR, OG, OH, OI, OJ, OK, OL, PA, PB, PC, PD, PE, PF, PG, PH, PI, PJ, PK, PL, QA, QB, QC, QD, QE, QF, QG, QH, QI, QJ, QK, QL, RA, RB, RC, RD, RE, RF. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do you have a model number with one of the above production codes?
