The Dogma has long been Pinarello's top road bike, with the flagship bike being the Dogma F. Pinarello is now launching the Dogma X model, which it claims is an endurance road bike aimed at long days in the saddle. The aim is to strike a balance between performance and riding comfort. The Dogma X has improved tyre clearance for tyres up to 35 mm, new Endurance geometry and a 3.9 mm shorter reach than a Dogma F. The Italian framebuilder prides itself on its 'always A-symetric' design. The asymmetrical tubes of the chainstays have been given an extra 'X'. This material, between the seat tube and seat stays now has an extra pair of carbon tubes connecting the seat stays and seat tube at two points....<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Carbon layup - high quality<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The brand says the X-Stays feature carefully chosen carbon fibre layup patterns, as well as a smaller diameter in the curved seat stays. <a href=\"https:\/\/pinarello.com\/europe\/en\/dogma-x\">Pinarello says<\/a> that this operation ensures that forces are distributed at two points of the seat tube to further reduce vibrations on the rider's back. All this while increasing lateral stiffness to compensate for the extension of the bike's rear fork. In this way, the installation of a compression system was avoided and 35mm tyres can now be fitted. Win-win. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even more technology: the rear tubes are made of Japan's T1100 1K carbon fibre from Toray. If the Italians are to be believed, this is the new benchmark for carbon, both for stiffness and weight. So the bikes are a touch lighter than their predecessors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prices are no slouch: as the DOGMA is the top-of-the-range model, you quickly have to reckon on just under \u20ac15,000 for a complete, DURA-ACE-equipped bike.
