Creating a podcast has become increasingly accessible. Great for anyone who loves cycling and enjoys listening to beautiful stories from the race, great race stories from amateur cyclists or about gravel adventures in the Netherlands and abroad. We\u2019ve taken a look at the world of cycling podcasts and have put together seven tips for great cycling podcasts for you. The podcast is a mix of our own cycling adventures, like the <a href=\"https:\/\/cyclingdestination.cc\/en\/stories\/cycling-to-denmark-wanderlust-hygge\/\">trip from Rectum to Aars<\/a>. But they also interview other cyclists who have had amazing adventures. The podcast is published every two weeks and is the perfect backdrop for a few hours of Zwift. Maarten, Robbert, Niels and Ferdi (with the good old Bastiaan as an occasional guest) make it a lot more enjoyable. If you find this podcast as enjoyable as we do, please support it with a <a href=\"https:\/\/vriendvandeshow.nl\/pedaleurs\/episodes\/flatlands-300-deel-ii?context=show\">donation<\/a>!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Live Slow Ride Fast. Perhaps this is the Dutch mother of all podcasts about life on two wheels. Laurens ten Dam is the big man of the show, but presenters Stefan Bolt and Thomas Dekker also contribute their share. The men\u2019s specials are legendary, and other well-known guests also make appearances. The \u2018Better Becoming\u2019 podcast, created together with Jim van den Berg (JOIN), is also highly recommended.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cycloworld Podcast. Herman and Frank run this podcast that mainly focuses on riding CycloSportive and GranFondo races in the Netherlands and abroad. As experts in this field, they know everything about this type of bike races. Along the way, they interview interesting guests, take a specific region under the microscope, or talk a lot about equipment. A nice change of pace in our opinion, and this one is also available every two weeks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.verakoedooder.nl\/podcast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Encouragement with Vera Koedooder<\/a>. Female voices in podcasts are already rare. A podcast run entirely by a woman is almost unique. Vera is a former professional and brings that experience to her stories. Ine Beyen, also a former professional, supports her and together they have a great time! The topics are often related to the women\u2019s race, but the \u2018very important\u2019 broadcast is certainly interesting for every cyclist!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/dagennacht.nl\/serie\/de-rode-lantaarn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Red Lantern<\/a>. This shouldn\u2019t be missing from this list. The Red Lantern is perhaps the best podcast in the Netherlands. With stories about the race, alongside the race, background information and more. This is not a frivolous affair and not for nothing do they regularly perform in the theater with their podcast. This was also recently in Amsterdam. Tim, Jonne and Maaike run this podcast with passion. It\u2019s great to listen to. This podcast is on average a bit longer in length. So it\u2019s also great for a long indoor workout. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arrieredelacourse.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Arriere de la Course<\/a>. A wonderful piece of Dutch old-time cycling talk. With stories from the race, about the race, from the race itself. Real cycling talk, as they put it themselves. Michiel, Wilco and Peter can easily talk for an hour. That must be thanks to the Koerspret beer. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.radioviainternet.nl\/podcasts\/wegkletsen\/2023\/extra-lange-nabeschouwing-op-het-wk-wielrennen-in-glasgow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Chatting with Roxane Kneteman and Ellen van Dijk<\/a>. Okay. I\u2019ll just be honest. I\u2019m a fan of Roxane Kneteman. In all her TV and radio appearances, it radiates off her. Enthusiasm, genuine love for the cause, and I find her commentary very insightful. A refreshing change from many of her colleagues. The podcast with Ellen is entertaining. Roxane has the final word, but the insights and additions from Ellen are excellent!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>DISCLAIMER<\/strong>As a platform for cycling tourism and cycling enthusiasts, we advise against being distracted in traffic in any way. According to us, phone, radio, music, and therefore podcasts should not be played on the bike, but rather next to it. The only exception is when you are cycling stationary in an indoor space. No matter how much you want to claim that you can cycle with other means such as bone conducting headphones etc., it is and remains a form of distraction. Especially in the busy traffic in the Netherlands, that is an extra risk. Better safe than sorry.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Podcasts schieten als paddestoelen uit de grond.
