De Schotse Hooglander die mij stoicijns aankijkt heeft een klein hobbeltje gevonden om op te staan. Hij kijkt niet alleen naar mij, maar ook naar het water achter mij, het Lauwersmeer. Nog zo&#8217;n creatie van de Nederlandse koningen van het watermanagement. We polderen wat af. Het is d\u00e9 reden dat Lauwersoog bestaat. Het voormalige werkeiland dat inmiddels een dorp is geworden. Een a-typisch dorp, zoals ik al eerder beschreef tijdens mijn <a href=\"https:\/\/cyclingdestination.cc\/en\/stories-2\/netherlands\/wadden-cuisine-in-a-day-2\/\">bezoek aan Lauwersoog in 2022<\/a>. Maar wel eentje gelegen aan een van de mooiste natuurgebieden van Nederland. Voor onze twaalf maanden, twaalf provincies, twaalf parken tour zijn we aanbeland bij <a href=\"https:\/\/cutt.ly\/ZegRVHb0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Landal Greenparks Natuurdorp Suyderoogh<\/a>. Dit park is strategisch gelegen haast tegen het meer aan. Vanaf hier is het een heerlijke opwarmer om een mooi rondje Lauwersmeer te gaan doen. De avond ervoor is volledig weggeregend. Soms heb je iets meer geluk dan andere dagen. Maar op de zaterdag van ons verblijf is het een stralende dag. Je voelt nog een beetje de frisheid in de lucht. Het is net aan vertrekken met mouwstukken. De wind blaast een licht briesje. Een perfecte start van de dag. We trekken voor dit rondje Lauwersmeer in de richting van Zoutkamp, een van de mooiste dorpen van de omgeving. We rijden dus met de klok mee. Vanuit het Landal vakantiepark rijd je eigenlijk gelijk het nationaal park Lauwersmeer in. Een mooi oud centrum, een leuk kerkje en de karakteristieke vissershuisjes. Want wederom: het Lauwersmeer was ooit de weg naar de Waddenzee. Hier zie je &#8217;s ochtends weinig activiteit. Het is wel een soort kruispunt. Vanaf hier kun je dan wel richting de Friese zijde van het meer, of je blijft meer in Groningen. De provinciegrens loopt net langs het dorp. Dit maal kies ik voor de pompebleden en ga richting Kollumerpomp en Dokkumer Nieuwe Zijlen. What&#8217;s in a name. Je slalomt hier tussen de dieren, maar ook wel tussen de paardenvijgen door. Dat wordt poetsen. Die blaast aan de kust altijd wat harder en als je met wind in de rug begint, dan heb je een taaie rit terug. In dit geval blaast ie &#8217;s ochtends nog vriendelijk en rollen we met een licht briesje bij Lauwersoog langs de veerdiensten en de haven. Het dorp Lauwersoog mist een echt centrum, maar bij de haven is voldoende activiteit. Als je tijd hebt, stop dan even bij &#8217;t Ailand, voor een goed verhaal en wat lokaal lekkers. Vergeet hier ook niet de oesters te proeven. Als Jan er is, maakt ie ze voor je open. Anders zul je het enkel met de verhalen moeten doen (en maak je ze zelf open). Vanaf hier is het nog een paar kilometer richting het park. Een prachtig rondje om te maken. De wijdsheid en de nabijheid van het water maken dit een magisch gebied. De dorpjes met hun kerkjes zijn een bezoekje an sich waard. Op mijn route tel ik er zo veel, dat ik op \u00e9\u00e9n hand geen plek meer heb. Via Winsum, Baflo en Westernieland beland ik uiteindelijk in Pieterburen. Er zijn maar weinig dorpjes hier die meer naamsbekendheid hebben dan dit dorpje. Hier start het Pieterpad. Je ziet dan ook veel wandelaars die enigzins opgewonden aan hun tocht naar Maastricht gaan beginnen. Daarnaast zit hier het Zeehondencentrum, waar zwakke beestjes worden verzorgd om weer te worden losgelaten. Lenie &#8217;t Hart zal voor altijd verbonden zijn met dit centrum. Het enthousiasme van deze dame voor het dierenleed is nog steedsg iets wat ik me herinner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Even lekker Wongen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Als je liever niet in het toeristische Pieterburen wil belanden, dan trek je via Kloosterburen verder richting Hornhuizen. Hier staat ook een mooi kerkje, op het centrale plein. Ik ben fan van dit soort plekken, hier kom je nog eens iemand tegen. Eerder op de route ontmoet ik een ouder stel die lekker aan het varen zijn door Friesland en Groningen. Ook zij gaan langs de kerkjes. Wat blijkt? We wonen bijkans bij elkaar om de hoek. Dit soort ontmoetingen heb je hier vaker en daarom kom ik graag bij de kerkjes en op dit soort pleintjes. Een ideale plek om het schouwspel en de mensen te zien is Wongema. Daar kun je lekker Wongen, zoals ze het zelf zeggen. Wat het is, geen idee, maar het voelt wel vertrouwd. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Accomodatie op Landal GreenParks Natuurdorp Suyderoogh<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De accomodaties op Landal GreenParks Natuurdorp Suyderoogh zijn herkenbaar. Het zijn de typische witte huisjes die je ook op andere parken van Landal GreenParks tegenkomt. Wij krijgen huisje 290 toebedeeld, met een mooie plek aan een van de waterplassen. Het huisje is geschikt voor 6 personen en heeft een mooi lapje groen rondom. Binnen is alles wat je nodig hebt en er is zelfs een inpandige berging, zodat je de fiets makkelijk kunt wegzetten. Op het park vind je vooral veel voorzieningen die gericht zijn op gezinnen. Er zijn een zwembad, minigolf, bowling, tennisbanen en outdoor speelplekken Het park is ruim opgezet en je hebt alle mogelijkheden om de omgeving te verkennen. Je zit een paar kilometer vanaf Lauwersoog en een paar kilometer van Zoutkamp af. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-7
