Autumn, the season when everything is possible. Sun, rain, cold\u2014and sometimes all in one ride. When you look outside and think, is it really that short? To be completely showered in 10 minutes later. If, like me, you ride a bike thousands of kilometers a year, you know that cycling in autumn requires clothing that can adapt to these conditions. We have been working with Etxeondo for years to create a collection that is perfect for this time of year. 1. The base starts with the Iluna Base Layer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

First rule when you go <\/strong>Cycling in autumn: a good base layer is everything. The Iluna Base Layer<\/strong> It keeps you warm even when the cold sets in. But it also wicks away sweat well, which is important if, like me, you sometimes drive for hours without a break. Here you find the link to the shirt<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. The Alde shirt for versatility<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

For autumn weather, you need a shirt that breathes and provides just enough warmth. ALDE (THERMO) shirt<\/strong> It is perfect for that purpose. It combines comfort and functionality and is ideal for both those cool mornings and afternoons when the sun suddenly breaks through. For me, this shirt is a must-have for long rides through varied terrain. I have both the regular version with long sleeves and the thermo version. The regular version works well for the first few autumn weeks, when the temperature fluctuates between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius. As November\/December approaches, I switch to the Thermo version. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Protection against the wind: Windstopper Vest<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Cold wind is one of the biggest challenges during cycling in the autumn<\/strong>. One ARIMA Vest<\/strong> It's the secret weapon. I have the Arri vest for the colder days, but I also just have a Busti for that extra protection from drops or in the descent. The ARIMA vest keeps the cold out without me having to add too many layers. Plus, it's light and compact enough to pack away when the weather warms up. 4. Orhi Bib Tights for the win<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

When the temperature really starts to drop, a long pants like the Orhi Bib Tights<\/strong> Your best friend. Both in summer and winter, the Orhi is my great love. What a wonderful bib this is. The Orhi offers excellent insulation and remains comfortable, even during those long trips where you cover miles in cooler conditions. 5. Keep your hands warm with ESKU gloves<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

One thing I am certain about. I get really cold hands quickly. Nothing worse than driving around with cold hands. For the deep winter I have the warm winter gloves. But for just that in-between I have the ESKU Gloves<\/strong> They are perfect for autumn: they keep your hands warm, but they are not so thick that they interfere with your sense of control on the handlebars. Perfect for when, like me, you get up early on your bike regularly, or when you always cycle outside. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Keep your head warm with the Skullcap<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

During long descents or when the wind picks up, a lot of heat can be lost through your head. The Skullcap<\/strong> The Etxeondo fits perfectly under your helmet and provides the extra protection you need without compromising on comfort or ventilation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Protect your knees with the leg pieces<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

At temperatures just above 10 degrees Celsius, the pieces of meat<\/strong> An absolute must-have. They are quick to put on and take off and offer just the extra warmth your legs need during a long drive. I have both the IBAI<\/strong> warmer clothes for colder days (say between 8 and 12 degrees) and the luxe<\/strong> warmer vests, for the days between 10 and 15 degrees. The IBAI are more padded and therefore warmer, the loose ones are really for the edge of autumn\/summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. Always prepared for rain with the URA Gore-Tex Rain Jacket<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

No autumn outing without a raincoat. It URA Gore-Tex Rain Jacket<\/strong> is waterproof, but breathable, which is crucial when Biking in the autumn<\/strong>. This is an investment, but one that always pays off. This jacket is a lifesaver when the autumn storms break out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. Overshoes for dry feet<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Wet, cold feet are disastrous for your ride. The Overshoes<\/a><\/strong> From Etxeondo they ensure that my feet stay dry and warm, even during the most unpredictable autumn days. I often wear them when it rains, then I don't have clammy feet. They are easy to put on and perfectly protect you from water and cold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
