The world's biggest cycling race is coming this summer with three stages in the north of France \u2013 all within three hours' drive from the Dutch border and just a stone's throw from Belgium. The region is therefore ideal for a cycling holiday. Pas-de-Calais<\/strong> the perfect place to experience the Tourdeads up close in July and to go cycling yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three stages, three chances to relive the Tour!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To be honest: many cyclists would love to stay left in the north of France. On the way to the Alps or the Pyrenees, or just on the way to sunnier places. Right? Who knows, they can say that. We won\u2019t recommend Roubaix right away in January, but still: the region is hilly and has a lot to offer, not only because of the cycling races that have taken place there, but also because of its cultural and historical value. And the Opal Coast, is there anything more beautiful than that? Now the Tour is coming again and you have three chances to see the Tour up close<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5 July \u2013 Start and finish in Lille (185 km)<\/strong>
The Tour kicks off in Lille<\/a>, a city that breathes cycling. The route takes you through Lens, Li\u00e9vin, B\u00e9thune and Armenti\u00e8res. Expect a fast ride with a mass sprint expected in the middle of historic Lille. Do you sprint immediately afterwards to the terrace or do you take another lap?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

July 6 \u2013 From Van Lauwin-Planque to Boulogne-sur-Mer (209 km)<\/strong>
A varied ride with rolling terrain, a tough finale with climbing and a finish at the top in Boulogne-sur-Mer. This is where the difference will be made. The Opal Coast is a true beauty \u2013 even as a spectator you are in the right place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

July 7 \u2013 Valenciennes to Dunkerque (172 km)<\/strong>
On the third day, the peloton winds its way through the former mining area towards the Belgian border. The finish is at sea, in the familiar city of Dunkirk \u2013 a place where, as a cycling fan, you will also get your fill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Combine course with culture \u2013 tips along the route<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Those who plan wisely will experience more than just the arrival of the peloton. This region is full of places where you can wander around before and after the Tour. A few recommendations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
