The Achterhoek has quite a hilly terrain, more than you might expect, but without extreme elevation changes. However, check if your accommodation offers explicit bicycle facilities \u2013 for example, a good, enclosed storage area, a cleaning area, and preferably an early breakfast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Plan B: what if it all goes wrong?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dutch spring. The guide has a list of \u201cthings to do\u201d there: castles, museums, tastings at local brewers and winemakers. Morning ride of 50 kilometers, afternoon at a brewery, evening local beer on the terrace when the sun still manages to shine through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They call their culinary side \u201cTaste for Taste\u201d \u2013 arrangements around local products, farm visits, and craft breweries. <em>\u201cThe Achterhoek is something you can really feel\u2026 here, everything revolves around pure flavors and local pride\u201d<\/em>, according to the campaign page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also on the spring agenda: local markets, spring festivals and the opening of the terraces in villages like <strong>Bredevoort<\/strong> en <strong>Dinxperlo<\/strong>.
