On October 1, 2026, the 30 winners were announced in Nancy. <strong>Destinations France by Bike<\/strong>, a new recognition from the French Ministry of Tourism, the R\u00e9seau V\u00e9lo et Marche and France V\u00e9lo. There were 88 registrations. The jury looked at quality and variety: from family rides and long distances to mountain biking and gravel. The winners will receive national and European promotion. For us, a nice list to plan your next cycling trip with. Below are all 30, by region, with where you can read more about them with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Northern France<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pays de Saint-Omer<\/strong>: the marshland around Saint-Omer, with flat routes along canals and waterways.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>C\u0153ur de Flandre<\/strong>: French Flanders, with hills like Mont Cassel and Mont des Cats. There are chestnuts and courses just around the corner.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Bay of Somme<\/strong>: The large bay at the Canal, end point of the cycling route along the Somme at Saint-Valery-sur-Somme.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Paris<\/strong>Starting point of the V\u00e9losc\u00e9nie to Mont-Saint-Michel, the Avenue Verte to London and the route along the Seine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Western France and the Loire<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Auray \u2013 Carnac \u2013 Quiberon<\/strong>: the south coast of Brittany, with the menhirs of Carnac and the peninsula of Quiberon.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Saint-Nazaire<\/strong> and <strong>Saint-Brevin<\/strong>at the mouth of the Loire, where La Loire \u00e0 V\u00e9lo ends at the sea.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Nantes<\/strong>: with the route Le voyage \u00e0 Nantes \u00e0 v\u00e9lo, along art works to the coast.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Angers<\/strong>: on the Loire \u00e0 V\u00e9lo and the route through the valley of the Loire.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Loches Sud Touraine<\/strong>: the south of the Touraine, a quiet rolling countryside with castles.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Blois \u2013 Chambord<\/strong>: the heart of the Loire castles, on the Loire \u00e0 V\u00e9lo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Central and Eastern France<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Morvan<\/strong>: the wooded central plateau of Burgundy, with the Voie Verte Autunoise from Autun.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Lacs and Mountains of the Haut-Doubs<\/strong>lakes and mountain pastures in the Jura, along the Grande Travers\u00e9e du Jura.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Sundgau<\/strong>: the plateau in the south of Alsace, opposite the Swiss border.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>\u00c9pinal<\/strong>: at the foot of the <a href=\"\/en\/destinations\/france\/vosges\/\">Vosges<\/a> and to La Voie Bleue along the Moselle and the Sa\u00f4ne.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Strasbourg<\/strong>: intersection of the EuroVelo 15 along the Rhine, the EuroVelo 5 and the canal of the Marne to the Rhine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Alps and Pyrenees<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Morzine \u2013 Les Gets<\/strong>in the <a href=\"\/en\/destinations\/france\/french-alps\/\">French Alps<\/a>, With the Col de Joux Plane and large mountain bike parks.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Maurienne Galibier<\/strong>: the valley of the great cols: Galibier, T\u00e9l\u00e9graphe, Croix de Fer and Madeleine.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Tourmalet \u2013 Pic du Midi<\/strong>: the mythical Tourmalet in the <a href=\"\/en\/destinations\/france\/pyrenees\/\">Pyrenees<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">South of France<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ard\u00e8che Hermitage<\/strong>Around Tournon and Tain-l\u2019Hermitage on the Rhone, with the ViaRh\u00f4na and the Dolce Via.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Hautes Terres \u2013 Cantal Volcano<\/strong>: the volcanic landscape of the Cantal, with the Grande Travers\u00e9e du Volcan.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Grand\u2019R<\/strong>La Roche-sur-Yon and its surroundings in the <a href=\"\/en\/destinations\/france\/vendee\/\">Vend\u00e9e<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Ventoux<\/strong>: The Giant of Provence and the surrounding area.
