Since 2018, Innsbruck has become a (summer) cycling destination for all mountain bikers. Not only for the mountain bikers, because the MTB enthusiasts were already convinced of this beautiful place in the Austrian mountains. The beautiful hotel Seppl, just outside the city in the village of Mutters (+\/- 10 minutes by car and 15 minutes by tram), offers a base from which every cyclist can dream. Same at home<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Owner Bernhard is himself an absolute fan of cycling. Not only will you often see him at the hotel reception, he can also give you all the beautiful trails, photo spots and shortcuts in the area. Including almost unknown routes on the border with Italy, along the old defensive lines or beautiful winding paths near Praxmar, if the ride to K\u00fchtai seems a bit too far. At the time of our visit, Bernhard is in full swing and we get explanations about beautiful photo spots and beautiful routes. The sun is only behind the clouds, but no complaints at all. The theme: you feel right at home, with a splash area for your bike right outside the door, a locked bike shed and the idea that you are not being overlooked here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rooms and more<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In winter the hotel is a real winter destination and in summer hikers and cyclists come here. The hotel has been built in typical Austrian style, with a bit of that \u2018stube\u2019 feel in the restaurant and the rooms. Lots of wood, but high quality. Cosy, warm and with a lovely bed, a spacious room and a few nice extras like a bag that you can use on the trails or in the city. Of course, it has to be returned in good condition. On the balcony of the different rooms you have that view again. A real Alpine-Austrian feeling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Breakfast and dinner<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You can start your bike day here perfectly with a breakfast buffet where you can choose from a wide variety of healthy options. Plenty of attention is paid to healthy food choices, including fruits, yogurt, nuts, seeds, and more. Bring an apple along for the journey (or a banana), and you\u2019re ready to go. The coffee is of high quality, and the rest of the drinks are well-stocked. All animal products and, where possible, fruit are locally produced. The quality is correspondingly high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2019In the evening you can dine \u00e0 la carte in the restaurant or join the menu. Again, the emphasis here is on local products and of course your dietary requirements can be taken into account. Lunch packs are also available and if you return to the hotel after a long day there is always a late afternoon snack available in the bar. Self-service is the code word here, but that is all very well in order. In the evening you can be served from behind the bar. The large terrace, in the sun with a view of the Nordkette and in the foreground the tower of the ski jumping hill and the city\u2026 Take me home now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
