As a frequent visitor to Cycling Destination, you'll probably notice. A lot is happening, both in front of the scenes with cool stories, and behind the scenes. Ruben and I (Sander) are working hard to get the coolest destinations and adventures on the site for you. We are also working on the functionality, to be able to search better and to create a better experience. It takes time, but we'll get there. Rome and Paris were not built in a day either. The summer is magic
To get right to the point, summer is magical! Because for the next few weeks, we will all be going out together. This week is extra busy because explorer Dennis (check his insta) is in Prague for us to join Jan Svorada and Martina Sablikova for a nice ride at L'Etape du Tour Czech Republic. He will have a fat Specialized under his ass, so that will be enjoyable. Explorer Wouter, known from our partner Etxeondo, goes for us to Emilia-Romagna and follows the Giro d'Italia U23 circus there. You will be able to spot him at Imola and on nearby roads. Pure enjoyment
Crans-Montana, Anzère and Region Dents du Midi
Meanwhile, we are with the Mountain High Chasers in Valais. Two of our partners, Anzère and Crans-Montana are checked out for a change. Erwin and Erwin have their basecamp in Anzère, we see how it is in Crans-Montana. We then continue to the Dents du Midi, through which the Tour de France will also pass this year.
Explorer adventure Ardennes - Sander in Greece
Later in June, things get even better. We are heading to Greece to set up a cool event in collaboration with Joysters. It will take place in the area around Kastoria. We are already giving you a hint: something with a village, long tables and enjoying the central square after cycling. That will be a fat Greek diary.
30/6 we will head into the Ardennes for our partners Shimano and Etxeondo. Are you going along too? Let us know via email and you will get all the details. We already have a nice mixed group of enthusiastic ladies and gentlemen. The ride is about 100 kilometres and we will start at Gilkinet in Aywaille. It will be a nice ride for our Shimano Ultegra Series. In addition, we are testing the new Etxeondo summer kit. That will be enjoyable.
Further this summer
Sander goes on a pilgrimage to the region around Varese. A fan of 'the Gannas', he goes in search of Luigi and Filippo's roots. They are almost 100 years apart, but somewhere this region is fertile ground for top cyclists. We can also be found at Eurobike. Will you also come to the Cycling Tourism forum on 15 July? Do we do a drink there!
In August, we are heading to Italy with (one of) the guys from Pedaleurs for a cool gravel adventure. In other words, plenty to do. Would you like to join us? Then drop a comment or email us and we'll take you on a trip!
Internship?
