Girona
Bolzano
The city of Bolzano (or Bozen in German) in the region of South Tyrol-Alto Adige is perfect for a fall break. The temperatures in the city are still just right until the end of October, the roads are good, and you can get there in no time at all. Dolomites Whether you’re still riding along the vineyards of the ‘Strada del Vino’ in the beautiful autumn sunshine. In the region itself, autumn is also a special time, because it’s the time of ‘Törggelen’. In short: lots of delicious food where chestnuts are at the center of everything. The locals consider this a really important moment. You can get around here on a bike (that’s what we wrote Previously al) but it’s also stunning here on the gravel bike. Hidden gem: the Stoarner mountains Mandl. The photos speak for themselves

Cote d’Azur
It’s no wonder that professionals choose to train and live here during their careers. Good climate, good roads, challenging climbs, both on and off-road, and the sea so close… You can really get your heart racing here, and the climate is just right. It’s nice in the sun. Go cycling along the coast or dive into the hinterland to explore the mountains there. You have so many options that a long weekend should last two weeks. The Col de Turini is an absolute must-see.

Puglia
The pearl of the south in Italy. Although many underestimate it, it is a wonderful place to spend time here. You can enjoy wonderful cycling in the Gargano on the northern side of this Italian province. Follow the green coastal line and enjoy the surroundings. Further inland you can, for example, visit the ‘Trulli’ houses in Alberobello or Locorotondo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Along the coast itself, you can cover long distances with a pleasant sea breeze. The only drawback of this province is the sometimes poor condition of the roads. That, however, presents opportunities for the real adventurers on the gravel bike. There is plenty of choice there too, because Puglia It is large. It runs from Foggia all the way to Brindisi and Lecce. Great advantage: it is still quite undiscovered, so you won't meet many other cyclists. Good tip for bike rental: The Bikes in Fasano. Mimo is a good guy and he counts John de Mol among his clients, among other things.

Mallorca
We have previously called Mallorca the cycling paradise. And not without reason. Good weather, good roads, plenty of variety and the advantage: in autumn it’s less crowded than in, for example, summer, when the island is swamped with mostly young Germans, English people and also Dutch people. Eye-catchers on this island are the climb to Puig Major, the route to Cap Formentor and the descent (and then the climb) from Sa Calobra. By now, you can also get by just fine on a gravel bike. In the interior, there are plenty of unpaved roads to enjoy a fun adventure. And finally, you have all the good facilities of the island at your disposal. Check out Bike Villas Travel for travel and villas to this beautiful island.
