Cycling cafes come in many shapes and sizes. With the popularity of cycling, you will find cool cycling cafés and cycling coffee shops in many more places where you like to start or end your cycling adventure. In the Netherlands we have already initiated with cool places to go. Now we've also snapped up 16 cycling cafés in Europe for you to discover. Because what could be more fun than sitting in a nice cycling cafe during your next cycling adventure abroad? As far as I'm concerned, that's a great start or finish to your lap.   1. Rapha Cafe Central London (London, UK)
    • The well-known retailer has made this place its signature shop. This bike cafe in London is known for its lively atmosphere. It offers great coffee and besides, you can also get your bike repaired, plus there are often events organised. Group rides and live race broadcasts are also crowded.   2. La Fabrica (Girona, Spain)
    • Girona is cycling, cycling is coffee and Girona is full of cool cycling cafes and coffee hotspot. This one belongs to former pro cyclist Christian Meier. The café is a real hotspot for cyclists, particularly also because of Girona's status as a training ground for the pros. Besides the group rides, the high-quality coffee and the insane lunch menu is the reason to stop here. Oh yes and the ambiance is also kind of bike-oriented. Check it out here.
  3. Velo Klasik Magasin (Prague, Czech Republic)
    • This café and bike shop in Prague is known for its delicious coffee and good atmosphere. You can also buy essential cycling clothing and cycling accessories there. Plus if your bike is broken, you have the option of service here too. It's a great starting point for group rides to explore Prague's scenic routes. Such as Dennis did during his visit to Prague.   4. The Street (Lille, France)
    • What could be better than a coffee shop with real cycling paraphernalia, like worn jerseys from the race? Nothing really. The Street in Lille is a Rapha shop, but also, above all, a stopping place for cyclists. Not for nothing is it Cycling Destination Approved.
  1. Steel Coffee Shop (Paris, France)
    • Located in Paris, this café is known for its stylish interior, friendly atmosphere and dedication to cycling culture. It is a popular spot for both local cyclists and new visitors from out of town. Here you can find everything, including, for example, the rental bikes they offer.
  2. Tete de Course - Nyon
    • This is perhaps the finest we have seen so far. Because: everything is themed, everything is tip-top and everything seems to have been thought about. From the look, to the menu, to the group rides and events. By the way, the food is really top-notch, although you have to fork out quite a bit for the European.   1. Standert Cycling Cafe (Berlin, Germany)
    • Deeply rooted in Berlin's cycling culture, this café offers a warm atmosphere and is a great stop for cyclists looking to explore Berlin (and the surrounding area such as Brandenburg).   2. La Bicicleta Cycling Café & Workplace (Madrid, Spain)
    • A unique mix of a café and a co-working space, this place is designed with cyclists in mind. They organise group rides, have bike paraphernalia and offer a friendly space for both work and leisure. https://www.labicicletacafe.com/
  3. Café du Cycliste (Nice, France)
    • Located in Nice, a city with a rich cycling history (and future, with the Tour de France finish in 2024), this is a must visit. The base and headquarters of Café du Cycliste, the high-end cycling brand offers everything you're looking for: delicious coffees, beautiful goodies and it's a starting point for group rides along the beautiful Côte d'Azur. On the old port, you'll find this place, where you can also rent bikes.
  4. Cafe Bicicletta (Freiburg, Germany)
    • This cycle café is one to frame. From the inside, it is more than the outside suggests. The owner is "quirky" but inspired. He has a strong opinion and (not unimportantly) strong coffee.   1. Pavé (Barcelona, Spain)
    • A stylish café in Barcelona, Pavé offers excellent coffee, a selection of cycling accessories and books, and a space where cyclists can share their passion. They often organise group rides in and around the city.
  2. Sartoria Ciclistica (Como, Italy)
    • A list without cycling cafes in Italy, of course, is impossible. Although real bike cafes are somewhat less common in Italy, this one in Como is one to list. Top coffee, a nice range of clothing, services like bike parking and a bus you can hire, plus group rides and a real community. Sartoria Ciclistica. The only thing missing is George Clooney. Or is he?
  3. Velochef (Oslo, Norway)
    • If there is one cafe not to be missed, it is Velochef in Norway. Wow. This really is next-level cycling coffee, lunch and snacks. Now, Scandinavia is easily one with high end/design, but the men and women of Velochef go the extra mile. Tip: do go cycling first and then plop down for lunch. Otherwise, you won't get away.   4. Cykel Cafe Lemond (Stockholm, Sweden)
    • This café breathes cycling, with beautiful murals honouring the great heroes of yesteryear. Obviously Greg Lemond but also the eternal Pantani adorn the walls of this Swedish Cycling hotspot.   5. Cranks & Coffee (Copenhagen, Denmark)
    • In the heart of bike-friendly Copenhagen, Cranks & Coffee is part café, part bike workshop, part shop. It's a great place to take a coffee break, get your bike serviced and immerse yourself in local cycling culture. The range of brands on offer is 'top of the line'.
  6. Mesterbike (Budapest, Hungary)
    • This café in Budapest is a must-visit for cyclists. Half café, half project, this is a place in Hungary that breathes cycling. Handily, with those cool routes we remember from the 2022 Giro. https://velocafe.eu/
