Popular cycling regions include South Limburg, where at 322m lies the country's highest mountain, Vaalserberg. Here is also the border triangle with Belgium and Germany.

Other popular destinations are Drenthe, where touring is mainly flat, but where t Dwingelderveld, the VAM Berg and also the MTB routes around Norg attract many visitors.

Many kilometres are also covered in the Achterhoek over the gently rolling countryside.

In addition, many a road cyclist will want to conquer Amerongse Berg, on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. There are a number of shorter hills in this area, which will briefly evoke that foreign feeling.
