Renewed loops Amstel Gold Race 365 - four times adventure through South Limburg

South Limburg remains the peloton for cycling adventure in the Netherlands. Since 2009, you can taste the atmosphere of the Amstel Gold Race there every day of the year on four permanently signposted loops. These Amstel Gold Race 365 routes are great for a day or weekend of cycling. And since spring 2025, loop 2 and 3 renewed - with an eye for experience, safety and distribution. Just what you're looking for as an adventurous cyclist. We are fans of Valkenburg ourselves. In 2024, we were still at Landal castle estate Cauberg, the ideal place for your next cycling adventure.

The routes all start from the Shimano Experience Centre in Valkenburg, but you can of course board wherever you like. This makes the system flexible and attractive for the holiday cyclist, the local or the fanatical climber passing through.

Loop 1 - the gentle run-up (80 km / 560 hm)

Perfect for those looking to explore or combine a longer ride. Loop 1 takes you through the Grensmaasvallei, past municipalities such as Meerssen, Stein and Sittard-Geleen. Quiet roads, beautiful views and a rolling rhythm. An ideal warm-up for those who want to pick up the tougher loops later.

Loop 2 - the real thing (85 km / 1300 hm)

The queen of the four. Here, the bar is set high. You swing towards the Vaalserberg and tackles legendary slopes like the Keutenberg, Eyserbosweg, Camerig, Gulperberg and the Daalhemerweg along. A sequence of well-known AGR classics, wrapped in one intense adventure. For those who want to seriously test their climbing legs.

Loop 3 - hidden pearls (76 km / approx. 900 hm)

You get the Cauberg, Bemelerberg and Geulhemmerberg, but in addition many unfamiliar but beautiful climbs. Think leafy field roads, surprising hairpins and quiet fords. The Mathieu van der Poel Allee is the symbolic dessert of this varied ride. For those who like to mix classic and new.

Loop 4 - unknown terrain (86 km / 750 hm)

New since 2024. This route links the AGR's South Limburg with that of the Park City. You ride through lesser-known but surprisingly green municipalities such as Beekdaelen, Brunssum, Kerkrade and Simpelveld. Perfect for those who want to avoid the crowds but still seek that Limburg vibe.
