Two of the most beautiful gravel regions in the Netherlands will be connected to each other starting in 2025 in a new ranking: the Lowlands Gravel League (LGL). The initiators of the Marly Grav Race in Zuid-Limburg and the Gravel One Fifty In Drenthe they are joining forces and together introducing a unique two-event competition for gravel riders. If you complete both events, you automatically become part of the LGL ranking. The fastest time across both races crowns you as the champion – and that won’t go unnoticed. Think of prize money, a champion jersey for the Elite class, and everlasting gravel fame.
Two completely different experiences
On May 11, 2025, the LGL adventure begins in the South Limburg hills. The Marly Grav Race takes you over steep gravel climbs and narrow, technical descents around Valkenburg. On July 12, it’s the turn of the northern sibling: Gravel One Fifty. From Roden, you plunge into the endless gravel paths of Drenthe, with speed, endurance, and navigation as key to success.

The League is a tribute to the versatility of the Dutch gravel culture. South Limburg challenges your climbing abilities, Drenthe tests your flexibility on long gravel stretches. Two faces, one title. And for recreational gravel riders? This is also an unforgettable way to experience the Netherlands at its best: from rolling vineyards to vast meadows.
