Inspired by the Abbey of Rievaulx: the Fort Trail and the Cleveland Way through Boltby Forest, then down to Hawnby, one of the first Dark Skies Friendly villages in England. You then climb back down through Nettle Dale via Old Byland to Sutton Bank. Tip: the tea room at Rievaulx Abbey of The Owl in Hawnby. Level: medium. Route and GPX: North York Moors National Park.
