Gravel is hot. We know. Everyone seems to opt for the fat tyre and the forest these days, instead of the 25-28mm and the asphalt. The gravel events in the Netherlands are popping up like mushrooms. Very cool of course! What we also see is that multi-day gravel events seem to be the trend. So enjoy a two-day or three-day free ticket to the off-road paradise. We list five multi-day gravel events in the Netherlands. Enjoy!

Graveller Brabant - Veghel

When organiser Carola Groeneveld started working with Ellen Brunninkhuis on the Graveller adventure, they did not expect to get a wonderful festival off the ground in a short time. The first edition (corona limited) was immediately full and the subsequent editions were also a success. Graveller's events are here to stay. Carola now does the organisation on her own again and there is a new location. This year, Graveller starts in Brabant with a new edition in Veghel. June, that is!

Limburg Challenge - Swalmen

That Limburg also lends itself well to gravel, we know better and better by now. In Swalmen, too, they have picked up on that and the Limburg Challenge has added a gravel edition in addition to an MTB tour. With a north route and a south route, on Saturday and Sunday, you will be the new gravel king of Limburg at the end of the weekend. This event is also all about the atmosphere, with a nice bbq, a fine reception on Friday and all the services you would expect from a gravel event in the Netherlands. After the weekend, you will also be only €169 poorer, but a great experience richer!

Gravel Path Alphen

If you have nothing to do in October, don't wait any longer and head straight to Gravel Path's site. This new event, from brewery Boslust in Alphen, Noord-Brabant (yes, idd from Alphen-Chaam) also offers you another three days of fun. An arrival day with a nice welcome and a short gravel ride, at the weekend two days of gravel fun on the bike and of course beer will not be a problem here. The Green Egg BBQ will be on and with the campfire the stories will come naturally. Enjoyment on two wheels at this new event, although the first edition is always a bit of a wait and see. Cost for 3 days / 2 nights: €195

Servatius Bikepacking

If you have nothing to do in September, you can indulge yourself in Maastricht during the Servatius bikepacking Weekend. a beautiful route, right through Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium. So technically not very much in the Netherlands, but yes. Start and finish in Maastricht, so we're counting. Find more info here.

The Great Gravel Down in Zwolle

This is a cool event because you go from Zwolle to Maastricht in a couple of days. Like Maastricht is the epicentre of Gravel, at least it looks like it. This event also falls under NL Tourrides' Gravelty Series. There are four different editions, but we will at least highlight the September edition as it still has plenty of availability! More info on the site of NL Tour Rides Gravelty. The pricing is hefty though with €399 as the starting price (but that's with hotel 😉
