Brod-Posavina is an area proud of its heritage, an area where different cultures used to meet.Today, however, many know it as a major corridor connecting central and south-eastern Europe via the A3, the busiest Croatian highway.

Leaving the motorway, into nature

Many modern travellers leave the highway to enjoy the breathtaking nature, exceptional history, delicious cuisine and warm hosts often waiting in the houses with traditional tools, animals and unique stories.

For many cyclists, this sounds like the perfect opportunity to get away from noisy and hectic cities with low-quality air and water. They can experience more than 30 road, gravel or forest routes. The routes are part of Slavonia Bike, a bicycle development concept in the province.
There is literally a route for everyone, as the province is hugely diverse.

Sava Route

The Sava Route, for example, follows the Sava River and is part of the international Sava Route. This

Ljeskove vode, a charming lake for rest and recreation is one of the highlights of the Hills and Valleys route.

Sava dam and Savonian plain route

The Sava Dam and Slavonian Plain route is a circular route, almost 50 kilometres long. It passes through the centre of Slavonski Brod, surrounding villages, the Sava river and through beautiful Jelaspolje with beautiful ponds and birds. The beautiful Petnja lake is near the route.
Not to mention, if anyone wants to win cool cycling gear after their ride, this province is part of
Bikademy. With Bikademy's app, you get a fun reward when you eventually tick off the different spots and take the 'exam'. Brod-Posavina can also be found as a 'bikademy study' with seven exams where cyclists can test their knowledge, cycle to and eventually receive a nice incentive....
