Laser, a private label of Shimano Introducing the new Z1 Kineticore, a beautiful helmet to take on a cycling adventure. What a great idea! With a weight of 220g in size ‘m’, this is the lightest helmet on the market of helmets with so-called ‘rotational impact’.
Z1 KinetiCore is the helmet for those looking for a wonderfully lightweight model, but also with the added protection against the impact of a fall. The new model is designed to be both lightweight and offer excellent ventilation, while meeting essential safety standards and going further by also integrating rotation impact protection.
Building on the past
Taking as a starting point the iconic Z1, worn by famous athletes such as Andre Greipel on the Champs Elysees, everything that was good is retained and improved by integrating Lazer’s patented KinetiCore protection technology. This results in a helmet with a 5-STAR Virginia Tech protection rating and built-in rotational impact protection, with a weight of only 220g M CE.
Strategically placed vents, sloping bridges and a floating headband ensure the best ventilation in its class, while aerodynamics are kept in mind. A Lazer Aeroshell is compatible with the helmet and can be added to close the vents for an extra aerodynamic advantage and protection against weather conditions.
Advanced RollSys
The new Z1 also comes with the improved Advanced RollSys, a thumbwheel on the top of the helmet that makes it easier to adjust the helmet to your head size. Because the Lazer Advanced RollSys is mounted on top of the helmet, there is still plenty of space left for long hair in a ponytail or bun.
Other important updates? The Z1 KinetiCore is not only lightweight, but a step towards sustainability has also been taken. By removing a plastic component from the helmet straps and using recycled material, we have taken several small steps towards more sustainability, which is what Lazer strives for.
Z1 KinetiCore makes it possible to safely store your eyewear with the special eyewear docking slots. Increased visibility is easily achieved by attaching the Universal Laser LED to the back of the helmet. The new aggressive design and sophisticated color palette of Z1 KinetiCore will attract attention while pushing your limits.
The new Z1 is available in sizes Small, Medium and Large and is priced at €249.95, which is at the top of the market.
