Colnago launches the new G4-X with a beautiful new partner for your next cycling adventure. According to the Italian brand (the faithful companion of Tadej Pogacar), it builds on the G3-X, which was launched before the coronavirus pandemic. A number of important upgrades make it a bike to enjoy, especially for gravel adventures, but also just to ride on a ride around the neighborhood.
What’s new
Colnago is known for its attention to detail. If you look at the C:68 race bikes, which are handmade, you can imagine something like that. The G4-X has also been upgraded with great attention to detail. Compared to the G3-X, there is more space for the tires. You can now fit tires up to 45 millimeters wide, which is 3mm more than before. Are you going on an adventure for longer? That’s nice, because the Colnago G4-X has multiple mounting points for bottles and bags. These hooks are indispensable on a good gravel bike.
Speed, because it can
The Italians couldn’t help but include aerodynamics in the offering. For example, internal wiring has been chosen, which is not only aerodynamic but also aesthetically pleasing. Furthermore, the cockpit has been taken from the C:68 racer, with less resistance taking precedence.
Five sizes, five group sets, three colors
The G4-X can be built with two Shimano GRX groups or with the SRAM FORCE, RIVAL or RED AXS groups. In addition, you can choose from three different color schemes. The striking ochre yellow, the stately dark green or a ‘ice blue’ variant. The size range runs from 45 to 57, indicating that a truly compact bike has been chosen that challenges you to go hard.
