This summer, guest blogger Rik de Voogd on a journey through Europe. He previously wrote about his adventures in Germany (Hesse, Baden-Württemberg, Bayern) and Tuscany, today it is time to take a closer look at the Dolomites. Dreaming away

The Dolomites are a true cycling paradise. Beautiful views, castles, stunning climbs and curves. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for a reason. Here, like Rik and Ruben, you can have a good time for a while.

Sometimes it feels like being in a big mirage. Am I really seeing what I'm seeing? Is it as beautiful as I think it is. A squeeze of the arm and you know. This is real.

In the clouds

With its location at 1,500 metres and the surrounding mountains, you'll soon have your head in the clouds. In fact, it is, in a word, stunning.

Bend it like....

The Dolomites are known for their hairpin turns and beautiful descents. So Ruben and Rik of the routes and roads that were presented to them. That it went nicely downhill, that much is obvious. That's how beautiful cycling is in the Dolomites.

One last one to unlearn

The photos kept coming, but we had to make a selection. This concluding photo could go right on the wall. For us, this is the image that should make you travel to the Dolomites too.
