New gravel classification links South Limburg and Drenthe

Two of the Netherlands' most beautiful gravel regions will be linked in a new ranking from 2025: the Lowlands Gravel League (LGL). The initiators of the Marly Grav Race in South Limburg and the Gravel One Fifty in Drenthe join forces and jointly introduce a unique, two-tier competition for gravel riders. Lowlands Gravel League launched

If you finish both events, you will automatically be part of the LGL standings. The fastest over both races will be crowned champion - and that will not go unnoticed. Think prize money, a champion's jersey for the Elite class, as well as eternal gravel fame.

Two completely different experiences

On 11 May 2025, the LGL adventure starts in the South Limburg hills. The Marly Grav Race takes you over steep gravel climbs and narrow, technical descents around Valkenburg. On 12 July, it's the turn of its northern brother: Gravel One Fifty. From Roden, you will dive into the endless gravel trails of Drenthe, with speed, stamina and navigation being the keys to success.

Why participate?

The League is an ode to the versatility of Dutch gravel culture. South Limburg challenges your climbing legs, Drenthe tests your agility on long gravel strips. Two faces, one title. And for recreational gravel riders? Even then it is an unforgettable way to experience the Netherlands at its very best: from rolling vineyards to vast heathlands.
